Q1: Reflection

Important to note: connection has many, many meanings. Could be connection with others, connection with oneself, or disconnection completely.

This is especially important when we discuss rest/recovery.

Think of the last “rest” period you gave your team during practice. How much talking did you do during that time?

Rest ≠ more coach time.

This may be the best question you can ask your team in preseason and to ACT on the answer. If they don’t know…that’s your starting point to dig deeper.

If we are really player-led and player-centric, then the answer to this will be vital to informing how you schedule, communicate, and help be about the right thing with your team.

Q5: Congruence

Your eyes lie to you all the time.

Dig deeper into how you will do this. There’s no right answer or one way, but there has to be something other than sluggish mental/physical/emotional performance.
